i am remembering cobol, but i have a problem with the ide, i am trying to make a third test file and the ide closes by itself without giving a chance to save.
I tried several times to modify this HelloWorld file, but I keep getting this error. C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenCobolIDE\GnuCOBOL\bin\cobc.exe -x -o bin\helloworld.exe -std=default -debug helloworld.cbl
C:\Program Files (x86)\OpenCobolIDE\GnuCOBOL\bin/ld.exe: cannot open output file bin\helloworld.exe: Invalid argument
collect2.exe: error: ld returned 1 exit status
All I did was change a delete a comment and this error. What is going on? Why can't I just modify this HelloWorld file
I was always looking for a free cobol to learn and teach, Opencobolide is excellent to learn, I have published some videos on youtube with ppts and programs to download and practice, you can search for them with the keyword checkcon.

GnuCobol could not compile unless you download and install Cygwin packages. Yet, there are a lot of packages to install and what we need are specifics only to COBOL for use in a Personal Computer without mainframe.
I have the OpenCobolIDE 4.7.6 software which I installed in Window 10, but it's not working due to the compiler. GNUcompiler not found due to that it didn't compile, please provide the compiler which I can try learn COBOL.
